Importance of Play | Special Needs Therapy Services (SATS)

Noah’s Ark toys library WA maintains and manages a collection of special needs resources for School Age Therapy Services (SATS) on behalf of the Disability Services Commission. These resources are available at Noah’s Ark’s Morley premises and as a registered therapist you can also browse these resources in the library catalogue once you are logged in as a therapist member.

The resources include developmental assessments and tests for use by occupational therapists and speech pathologists for assessment of language, fine and gross motor, and cognitive skills. There is also an extensive range of special needs learning resources for sensory stimulation, motor development, language, literacy skills and concept development.

Noah’s Ark plans to extend the promotion and availability of SATS to ensure that all school therapists, both local and regional, can access the resources through the Mobile Library Service.
